Early life:
Genelia studied at Apostolic Caramel High School in Bandra and later joined St. Andrews College (Bandra) to pursue a Bachelor of Management Studies. She was also an athlete from the state level and a player in the National Football level.
Career:
Genelia her debut in Bollywood in 2003. Her first Hindi film Tujhe Meri Kasam opposite Ritesh Deshmukh was. She left Bollywood for a while to focus on South Indian films. Their first hit of the lime light with a Parker Pen commercial with Amitabh Bachchan and after a fair and beautiful Cricket World Cup 2003 Krishnamachari Srikkanth with Ad. She was also a part of Mani Ratnam show, Netru, Indru, Naalai.Boys in 2003, which was a huge success.
She made her debut with Satyam Telugu and continued to act in several films which raised their profile in South India. She appeared in several Telugu films such as Happy, Samba and Sye. She followed with a pairing with actor Venkatesh in Subhash Chandra Bose, who met with disappointment at the box office.
Her second Hindi movie was Masti and was also opposite Ritesh. This film was a moderate success.She then played the role in the film HaGeneliai Telugu Bommarillu, which also starred Siddharth Narayanin head. This film was one of the biggest hits of her career andearned its critical acclaim and wide recognition. She won best actress for her performance FilmfareAward, among other awards.
Her character received rave reviews and so HaGeneliai thefavourite choice for this role in the remake of Bommarillu in Otherlanguages. It was a remake in Tamil Santhosh Subramaniamin Genelia, the heroine again as votes. The film also proved tobe a rather more successful than its predecessor. Her first film in Kannada Satya In Love, plus four crores in one week the opening of a new record in the Kannada film industry.
She appeared again in Bollywood in Mere Pehle Aap alongside Akshaye Khanna BAAP, which was a success. Her final breakthrough in Bollywood was through the blockbuster, Jaane Ya Jaane Na you know where she is the heroine in the role as Aditi Mahant aka "Meow". Herrole act generally admired for its freshness and sweetness, and Newstyle.
The film has Imran Khan beginners, Aamir Khan's nephew, as the hero. The film releases fourth July 2008 and was a success across India and careers in South India overseas. Her next film, It's My Life, which will be released is still a remake with Harman Baweja Bomarillu in 2009. She is also in the next film by David Dhawan, called Hook Ya Crook act alongside John Abraham, Shreyas Talpadefor for the first time a film, the cricket is not, the film releasedin 2009th She also has another movie on her hand half releasedby 2009, which is titled Life Partner with Fardeen Khan.
She is now the brand ambassador of the new Fanta replaced Rani Mukherjee. She is also now the brand ambassador of chocolate substitute Preity Zinta Perk.
